Alien X is not an invader. He is a stranded traveler. Long ago he became trapped on Earth, assumed a human identity, and learned to survive inside a civilization that never knew what it had found. The world eventually knew that identity as Elon Musk.
Humanity interpreted his fixation on Mars as ambition. FILE X offers another explanation: homesickness. SpaceX built the road. Starship became the Return Vehicle. Mars was not merely a destination. It was home.
But transportation was never the final obstacle. FILE X reveals that something on the other side of the journey must accept his return.
He already built the way home. Now he needs permission to return.
That is why humanity matters. Alien X can build engines, rockets, satellites, companies and spacecraft. What he cannot manufacture for himself is independent recognition.

Inside the Alien X fiction, researchers examining recently released government UFO/UAP material uncover references to a missing classified dossier known only as FILE X. Its authorship is uncertain. Entire pages are missing. Most of the surviving material is corrupted or heavily redacted.
RETURN CONDITION: RECOGNITION
No author. No explanation. No threshold. Only a condition—and the implication that Alien X cannot satisfy it alone.
The X pattern then begins to look different: X. SpaceX. xAI. Model X. Alien X.
What if X was never branding? What if it was a signature?

The machine cannot give him what he needs.
$X has one purpose inside the lore: recognition. Once deployed, every independent holder becomes a Witness. The number of Witnesses becomes the Recognition Count.
Inside the fiction, holding $X means one thing:
I recognize Alien X.
The threshold remains hidden. Nobody knows how many Witnesses are enough, or whether the Martian Receivers are already listening.
Alien X already built the road home. SpaceX created the infrastructure and Starship became the Return Vehicle. But the recovered FILE X sequence suggests recognition must exist before the signal can be sent.
Recognition accumulates on Earth. When Starship flies, the signal activates.
The fiction does not claim $X causes or controls any real SpaceX launch. The next confirmed Starship flight simply becomes the story's transmission opportunity: Signal Event 001.
After transmission, the story enters its most uncertain phase: did Mars receive it, was the Recognition Count sufficient, and will the Receivers accept him?
